I've got quite a few things on my mind today, not least of which is the fact that I just signed up for this site. I couldn't believe that something that looked and felt so strongly like LiveJournal existed outside of...well, LiveJournal. It's been years since I visited there, and even longer since I've really committed myself to writing anything, fanfiction or otherwise. I figured I'd take the opportunity to change that. I've been bouncing around a few various ideas for lesbian erotica, but it's so hard to not beat everything I write into bloody submission. Takes the joy out of things to be hypercritical, you know?

I'm also planning for a tattoo tomorrow. A Snorlax on my left leg. Half of me is incredibly excited - I haven't gotten a "real" tattoo before (not counting my big dipper that was designed to look like freckles on my forearm; that took, like, twenty minutes), and I love the design. On the other, despite being a whole ass adult woman, I'm shitting myself about what my parents are going to say. You should have seen the fallout from my first tattoo. Seriously. Six little brown dots, and my mom absolutely flipped. Said I should consider it "six individual times [I] let down [my] father". Dad just said he was fine with it because he "also did things to piss off [his] parents", and it would be my "last one". God forbid I mark my own body without consulting the outside parties responsible for it, or even considering them as part of the equation.

...see how I've already written so much about the bad part, and barely a sentence about the good?

I'm waiting on my girlfriend to get out from work. With my graduate semester wrapping up, I've barely spent any time with them. Getting to visit tattoo shops today with them - they ended up walking out with Pearl from Steven Universe on their forearm, and it looks great - was really reconnecting. And a lot of folks took pictures of my backpack, a giant Pikachu with a choker-collar. That's the nice thing about living in a city, I suppose. The freedom to dress like that; not that you couldn't anyway, but I feel as if the atmosphere gives you more leeway, you know? Had some men yell at me from their car, but it's my policy to never respond to car-callers, even with a middle finger, so it went without incident.

What will tomorrow bring?
